Applications Due:

Grant applications may be submitted 60 days prior to the intended start date of the grant to the applicable Regional/Field Office

Description:

States with (1) approved OSM coal regulatory programs, (2) active coal mining operations contributing to the Abandoned Mine Reclamation Fund, and (3) with lands affected by coal and non-coal mining prior to 1977?and Tribes meeting conditions (2) and (3)--may submit a reclamation plan for approval. States and Tribes with approved reclamation plans are eligible for Abandoned Mine Land (AML) grants to pay the project development, construction and administrative costs to reclaim dangerous or hazardous abandoned mine sites.

Small Business (Less Than 500 Employees
